- fernando caretta was born in lizzanello, italy;

- after working for several advertising agencies he moves into a
fashion atelier as a designer. soon after he publishes several satirical strips on a local
classified paper;

- he moves to milano and starts working on trading cards for edizione
masters immagini first and on skateboard and soccer-based comics later for trentini.
at the same time he also draws for four weekly coloring-books aimed to the booming
children market and becomes part of the staff that creates the erotic anthologies
"nuvola bianca" and "paprica", other than collaborating as a
graphic-designer and photograph for "collector magazine";

- 1991-1992
- he leaves trentini and joins advertising agency cips
as an art director. in this position he works closely with toys-toys and mcdonalds,
but he also keeps drawing trading cards and school accessories for forte editore;

- 1993-1995
- forte editore puts him in charge of comics for his three
main magazines, meaning twelve color pages on a weekly basis. at the same time he draws
two more coloring books and collaborates with ad agency pro-ad service for firms
like riso gallo, segafredo, san pellegrino and imetec.
he also draws storyboards for danone and galbani;

- 1996-1998
- assignments for advertising agencies like pro-ad service,
option italia, sole luna e mcchen ericson, art machine and rolando
agenzia skyrockets, involving firms like algida,
eldorado, europe assistance, shell, omnitel, lipton, lg flatron, chicco, danone, galbani,
kodak.
- he starts publishing for three years in a row on main italian erotic
magazine "selen" for trentini. these stories will be also published in
u.s.a., france, spain, germany and denmark;
- 1999
- other than as a cartoonists, he starts collaborating as a photographer with trentini
on "nu";

- 2000-2001
- advertising work keeps pouring in, but the comics market is on a
slope. this notwithstanding the original artwork market is booming and he starts
collaborating with www.redsectorart.com
as his commissions representative and art dealer;

- 2002-2003
- porn-star selen quits the role that made her famous and moves to
theater: this spells doom for the magazine which shuts down shortly thereafter. he goes to
"blue", long-time competitor of "selen" published by edizioni
coniglio, on which he also showcases his growth as a photographer.
